Wes and I may look like your average couple, but we simply aren't that.
Our love story starts out in a very unconventional way.
Wes and I met when we were 16 through a mutual friend. Originally, I thought of him as a bit of an ass and just tolerated him as needed. I'm nice like that. As time passed and we worked together more, the more we both began to flirt. It's was completely harmless on my end as I was dating someone at the time. That "someone" wasn't worth my time I later found out, but out of it I got a beautiful, perfect little boy named Mason.
As Mason grew in my belly, my appreciation for Wesley grew. He was a true friend who was there when I needed someone. He was supportive but not pushy and just a genuinely good person. I enjoyed every moment I had with him and almost exactly a year to the day I met him, we were in a relationship. I fell head-over-heels for this man and didn't even see it coming. Heck, I was in denial up until the moment we decided to get married. After all, I was into bad boys and all things bad for me. But here was this man who knew the Marli without a façade, who made me laugh all the time, and who made me happy. I didn't know how to handle it!
It took some work on Wes's part, but I finally came around. Once I realized how intense my love was for him, I knew I had to have him in my life from that point forward.
On August 4th, 2006, we walked into the courthouse and were married. I can honestly say that it was the happiest moment of my life. I knew deep down inside, I'd never regret it, and I never have.
We've been pretty much inseparable since our first kiss. It was one of those kisses that made my lips tingle from the spark and my knees go weak. A moment worthy of a romance novel :)
