Why "Stages"?!

stage
stāj/
noun
plural noun: stages
  1. 1.
a point, period, or step in a process or development.

My oldest is 10. My youngest is 3.5. There are no more babies in my near future. I never thought there would be a time I'd say that. It's still mind-boggling when I think about the fact that I will never again go through labor or hold a brand-new squishy baby. I'm okay with it though. I've moved on passed that stage (though, I will miss it, of course).

See what I mean by "Stages"? It's just a period in ones' life. They can change rapidly without notice or they can morph slowly over time. We've all been through them. We've all watched someone else go trough them. Rather than fighting it, I want to learn to embrace it.

Kids go through MANY stages. From the moment that you get them to the moment that they leave your house. There will be more stages than you can keep track of. Some stages are better than others. The defiant stage of my 3-year old is one I could live without, though I know he needs it to better understand his placement in the world (see how I'm trying to bring the positivity out in it?!).

Being an Army wife, our family has gone through MANY stages. Right now we are ending the quiet Guard life and getting ready to just dive head-first into the active Army stage. Bring it!

Each "Stage" will prepare you for the next one. If you pay attention to the ebbs and flows of life, you can somewhat predict what may come next. Looking back, things will make sense (hind sight is 50/50, of course).

So Embrace the Stage you are experiencing now, for it may be a time you cherish in the future!
