That was the day I married my best friend
I'm not going to be some sap and say it was the best day of my life. I mean, yes, it was a great day but well, you just have to know our crazy little love story :).
Wesley and I were high school sweethearts. He was first my best friend and I slowly but surely fell head-over-heels in love with him- HARD. We dated throughout Junior and Senior year.

On August 4th, 2006 we decided to head to the court house to see about when we could get married. You see, Wes was headed to Army boot-camp August 9th and we wanted to do it before he left. We had just decided a couple days before that it was what we both wanted.
That morning we planned on meeting at my house and we'd both go up there to start filling out paperwork. Though, that didn't go as planned. The car Wes was driving ran out of gas so his friend dropped him off at my house. Then the starter in my car went out. Our friend Jason drove us to the court house on one of the hottest days of the year (and he had NO air conditioning!). We got there, filled out the paperwork and paid the fee to have it filed. As we were getting ready to leave, we asked when we could schedule the actual wedding to take place. They had us go talk to the judge and he said, "How about in half an hour." We both looked at each other, laughed and said "Sure!" We frantically started calling our close friends and family. Wes convinced his sister to bring a nice button up shirt and some jeans for him because he just had on basketball shorts and a t-shirt. The only problem is the shirt she brought was all sorts of wrinkly and she brought his dad's jeans, which are WAY too small. He ended up wearing that wrinkly shirt and his basketball shorts and I just wore a tank top, shorts, and flip flops. To top it all off, I had a double eye infection. We were a wonderful sight to see that day :). But boy were we HAPPY!
Thankfully a year later, after the birth of our daughter, boot camp, and our first year of marriage, we were able to have a real ceremony. It was simple but beautiful and I loved it!
Since then, we've done some incredible things! We've traveled all over the country.

These 10 years have been outstanding and I'm so glad I've been able to experience them with Wesley by my side. I'm one lucky lady.
