Time

I don't think you fully understand the speed of time until you have a child.

Today, Facebook Memories threw me for a loop with this picture today:

Karli at 9-months old
March 28th, 2010

That's my little Karli-Bug at 9-months old. That precious little pudge is about to turn 7 in just 3 months. SEVEN!

That doesn't seem possible. Not at all! Seven isn't a baby anymore... but that's Karli.... my baby!

It's moments like this you realize how much life has changed. And it feels like it happened at the snap of your fingers. BAM! Everything is now different!

I remember her being a baby vividly. It was such a hard/ trying time in my life and I remember struggling with each and every day. Karli was a great distraction and I cherished each smile from her sweet little baby face. She was my rainbow baby in more than one meaning.

The year 2010 was particularly difficult- it was on the precipice of change- a change I was so impatient for.

                         The days were long....

but the years were SHORT!

I keep repeating that in my head today... oh how true those words are!!!

Life was so different back then. I often wish I could go back and enjoy it a little more. It was such a stressful yet beautiful time. I should have stopped and smelled the roses more.

I'm so glad I have pictures to bring me back. Those babies have grown so much!

I'm so thankful for sweet little reminders like this. I'm going to give my not-so-little babies an extra big ol' hug tonight and make a point to enjoy these moments I have with them. Because boy, they sure speed by fast!
